Awesome nerd appeal: I has it!

Er, hi? I'm Derek, and I don't know what else to say here... Um... I'm an Architectural Studies major at the University of Arkansas. As if that matters to you. What *is* important is that I'm very much an introverted, affectionate dork. Obviously, I salivate over the occasional book (Harry Potter, duh), movie (Lord of the Rings, The Dark Knight), TV show (Good Eats, Doctor Who, Futurama, etc.) and game (Company of Heroes, Civilization). Beyond those interests, I like to try new foods, and I'd really like to travel. And I'm not nearly as dry as I feel like I'm being. To put it poorly, I'm looking for an equal. Someone to connect to on an intellectual and an emotional level. Someone to value me as much as I value them. A shy nerdess to call my own. So on and so forth... I don't plan to monopolize your time, by any means--in fact, I need plenty of space most of the time--but I know I would be a lot happier with a meaningful, intimate relationship.
