Nerd Passions

I am a Nerd and I'm looking for a special Lady Nerd to relat

What can I say? I have many interests, nerdy and non-nerdy(or maybe they are nerdy and I just don't realize how nerdy they are). I enjoy reading, but I do not completely lose myself in a book. It must capture my attention and maintain me ever so interested. I have short attention span when it comes to printed media, not by choice. Don't get me wrong, I love books and poetry, I just can't seem to be engulf by the far away world of books. And that gets me frustrated. Music, however, has been able to steal my senses. I can be critical of certain music genres and am often known to disregard any form of art that I deem unworthy or just pretentious. Although, I can be quite hard-headed I have been trying to improve myself. A couple years ago I would have thought that self-improvement was overrated, but I've come to realize it's necessary to co-exist with people. I am working on my patience. And most importantly, I've been searching for meaning in a meaningless world (Existentialism! Yea! XD). I have conflicting interests. In music, I enjoy classical and metal. I take a rational view on life, but I search for mysteries that make life special. I have problems taking things on face value, but I have a longing for a simple things. In a girl, I seek the purest form of love, Platonic. But since I am also greatly influence by society, I have my shallow moments. Beauty has been distorted and I suffer as a result from it. I am conflicted but I wish to better myself, to find and clearly shape my values. I am a work in progress and I would like to find someone I can relate to and enjoy their work in progress as well.
