I am someone who is sometimes considered to be a nerd by people who aren't, but not usually by people who are. This is because I don't tend devote my thought to popular things such as sports, but to more intellectual things, and possibly because I'm somewhat eccentric (intentionally). I don't play any computer or video games, though one of my best friends is the biggest stereotypical gamer-type nerd in existence. I'm definitely a shy person that knows a lot of "random" information, so maybe in that way I qualify as a nerd. I never gave much heed to labels, anyway.
